The 7th Antiparos International Photo Festival will be held 6-14 July 2019.
On Saturday, July 6th, the INTERNATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF PHOTOGRAPHY & ART OF ANTIPAROS launches the great cultural event of Antiparos, the Antiparos International Photo Festival 2019 for the 7th year, with the assistance of the Municipality of Antiparos & KEDA. With “THE SEA” as theme, 15 photographers exhibit their works, framing the photographic exhibition “KAPETANEIKA” from Naoussa, Paros, the official guest of Photo Festival ’19, contributing to the nationwide struggle to stop “breaking” wooden boats. It will be hosted at the Kastro (Castle), where parallel artistic events will take place until Sunday July 14th.
Antiparos is a small Greek island close to Paros in the Cyclades. Discovered by the artistic community in the 1960s, Antiparos now has a thriving tourist industry, but has essentially remained unspoilt. The Antiparos International Photo Festival is our way of giving something back to the island that we love, and also reinforcing its cultural identity. Antiparos is a small island, and the festival corresponds to that. Our overall vision is that the Antiparos International Photo Festival will gradually grow in stature and reputation over the years. And continue to do justice to the unique island that is Antiparos.
And the festival is now open for submissions. So if you’re a professional, semi-professional, aspiring or amateur photographer, now is the time to submit your work. You could be exhibiting it side by side with some of the best photographers in the world.
